Instagram filters can really liven up your photos without the need to any photography skills. It also has some useful tools to change the orientation, brightness, contrast, etc. Using all these tools to setting up your photo can take quite a bit of time. Previously, you had to finish editing and post the photo right there and then but the recent update changed that. Instagram rolled out a Drafts feature that lets you save the incomplete edits. How to save photos to Drafts in Instagram

Step 1: Open Instagram and choose a photo to edit.

Step 2: When you are in the editing screen, you will find a back button located on the top left corner. Tap on it and you will be asked if you want to save your unfinished post as a draft or discard it.

Step 3: Tap on the Save Draft option. Your progress will be saved for future editing.

That’s it. to edit the saved draft later, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Open Instagram and tap on the Camera button to access the photo library.

Step 2: On the photos library, you will notice a Drafts section. Browse it till you find the draft you are looking for.  Tap on it to resume editing.

You can tap on Share when finished or if you are still not satisfied with the edit but want the latest edits to be saved, go to the Share screen and then tap on the back button just like you did before. This will update the draft. After a certain number of edits, the drafts screen does not go to Filter and Edit screen anymore. So to edit the photo, you must go to the share screen and tap on Edit button located under the photo’s thumbnail.
