LG has recently announced its new mid-range (better to be called an entry-level) Android handset, the LG L65 D280. Soon to be released (within a few weeks, most probably), the phone has some basic mid-range features, and is expected to be priced aggressively in the international markets.
Targeted for entry-level or budget users, in the Indian market, the phone will compete with Moto E, Micromax Unite 2, Lava Iris X1, and Xolo Q600s, while there are other several models to mention for the International markets which the phone will have to compete with.
Discussing about the specs of the phone, the LG L65 D280 smartphone has a 4.3″ 480 X 800 pixel IPS LCD display with multitouch support, a Snapdragon 200 1.2 GHz dual core Cortex A-7 processor supported by Adreno 302 GPU. To support this, the phone has 1 GB RAM. For memory, it has an internal memory of 4 GB, and a microSD slot expandable upto 32 GB. For camera functions, it has a 5 MP rear camera with LED autofocus flash and Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama features, which can record videos of upto 480 pixels at 30 fps, and a VGA secondary camera for video calls. Considering the battery, it has a 2100 mAh user replaceable Li-ion battery, which is expected to give pretty good talktime of about 7 hours in 3G. Its biggest plus point is that it operates on Android 4.4 KitKat, the latest version of android. Other features include FM radio (which is missed by many devices now a days), Bluetooth v4.0, Accelerometer and proximity sensors, GPS, 3G HSDPA 900/2100 for connectivity purposes, WiFi Direct, WiFi Hotspot. The LG L65 D280 will be available in two color options- white and black.
