Motorola officially announced its new budget android smartphone, Motorola Moto E at a p ress event yesterday at London and New Delhi. Though some of the details were leaked few days in advance, it is a pocket-friendly good smartphone full with surprises and quite good specs.

The phone will contain a 4.3″ qHD scratch resistant display having 256 ppi pixel density, and will be protected by Gorilla Glass 3 at the top. Inside, it has a Snapdragon 200 1.2 GHz Dual-Core Cortex-A7 supported by Adreno 302 GPU and 1 GB RAM. It has an internal memory of 4 GB (2.21 GB user available), which is expandable with micro-SD slot of upto 32 GB. The phone will run on latest Android KitKat 4.4.2.

On the connections side, it is a dual sim GSM+GSM phone supporting 2G and 3G networks. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802, FM Radio and GPS are its other features. For the photography, it has a 5MP camera at the back recording videos upto 480 pixels @30fps. The phone contains Non-removable Li-Ion 1980 mAh battery, which is claimed to give a whole day support. The smartphone measures 124.8 x 64.8 x 12.3mm and weighs 140g. The phone is going to be released today, and its estimated retail price is £89 or roughly €110. The phone is available in Black, Turquoise and Lemon color options. Motorola is also including 3 color covers to let you personalize your phone.

Moto G to come with micro-sd and LTE

At the same event, motorola even announced that its best selling smartphone, the Motorola Moto G, will come forward with a micro-SD slot uptp 32 GB and will also have 4G LTE support. The phone will arrive in the market later this month, and has other specs same as that of the previously released Moto G. It will be called  For those who have forgetten about the previously contained specs, the phone has a 720 X 1280 pixels 4.5″ display, corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 quad-core processor, Adreno 305 GPU, 1 GB RAM, 8/16 GB primary storage, 5 MP primary and 1.3 MP secondary camera, dual-sim support and a 2070 Li-ion Battery.
