HOW TO FIX ERROR 971 WHILE DOWNLOADING PUBG AND OTHER APPLICATION FROM GOOGLE PLAY STORE?

Hello everyone, a Few days ago I installed PUBG game on my mobile. Since PUBG has become one of the most popular game nowadays. I began installing the game from play store. Everything was going well and smoothly, suddenly an error occurred saying “PUBG MOBILE can’t be installed. Try again, and if the problem continues, get help troubleshooting. (Error code: 971). I was shocked by what I saw. I searched various sites for solutions and finally got one which helped me to fix the error code 971.

Today In this article I will be sharing my experience on how I solved the annoying google play error, Error 971. Before fixes, I want to share something on what is the error and why such error occurs. Let’s get started.

What is Error code 971?

We encounter a lot of error such as error code 495, error code 497 etc. while installing the new application from the google play store or while trying to update the app. Do you know what actually is these errors?

Error codes are actually a numeric value given to identify the error. Such error codes hold information about the error, its possible cause, and action that cause errors. Vendors use such error codes to address the bug in the software.

What causes Error code 971?

Mostly such error occurs due to the corrupt or damage files present into the system. Incomplete Installation, Incomplete uninstall, Improper deletion of the application can also be the cause for such errors. Such corrupt files lead to wrongly link the files that are necessary for proper working of the application.

How to Fix Google Play Error or Error code 971?

Errors can also be caused due to Google Play Store updates, Google account issues, data issues, cache issues. Here are some of the fixes that can help you to get rid of such annoying errors.

Clear Cache From Google Play Store

Google Play Store generates cache in a long run. Cache helps to run an application smoothly but sometimes the corrupted file within the cache can also be one of the reasons for the occurrence of such errors. Follow these steps to clear cache from google play store.

1. Open Settings
2. Go To Apps >> Application Manager.
3. Scroll the apps and go to the Google Play Store.
4. Open Google Play Store and tap force stop.
5. Tap on Clear Cache.
6. Repeat the above-mentioned steps and clear cache from Google Play Services too.
7. Try to download and install the application

Clear Play Store Data

Try cleaning the Google Play Store data if clearing the cache of Google Play Store and Google Play Service doesn’t resolve the issue. Follow these steps to clear play store data from google play store.

1. Open Settings.
2. Go To Apps>> Application Manager.
3. Scroll the apps and go to the Google Play Store.
4. Tap Force Stop Button.
5. Tap on Clear data.

Remove Google account from your device and add it again.

If the above-mentioned fixes don’t help then try removing google account from the device and add it again. Follow these steps to remove the google account from your device.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Go To Account >> Tap Google.
3. Tap Remove account.
4. Restart the device and try to install the application.
