Download Whatsapp Status
Using Statuses Folder
You have already downloaded these Statuses, you just don’t know it yet. There is a hidden folder named Statuses that stores all the statuses for 24 hours before deleting them. Access this hidden folder using a file manager that supports showing hidden files. I would recommend Solid Explorer. Follow the steps;
Step 1: Open Solid Explorer.
Step 2: Go to the main storage. If you have external storage, you can select the one you have Whatsapp installed on by sliding from left to right and selecting the right one.
Step 3: Go to Whatsapp. Select Media.
Step 4: Now, tap on the 3-dot menu located at the top right corner.
Step 5: Tap on Folder options and check Show hidden files. You will see Statuses folder. Copy the ones you wanted to a different location.
Using Status Saver
If you don’t want to go through all the steps to get a status, you can use a status downloader to do the job for you. Download an app called Status Saver from the Google Play Store.
It is free and does exactly what you want it to do. The first time you open of the app, it will ask you for permissions. Grant them and that’s it. Status Saver will download Whatsapp Statuses and put them on different tabs depending on what kind of file it is.
You can also use the screenshot feature to save a status if it is a still image. If it is a video or a gif, you can use screen recorder apps to save a copy of the status.
