The Facebook app supports only one account at a time. This means you need to log out of an account to log in to another. You cannot log in to multiple accounts at the same time. This is mainly due to security and privacy concerns. Running multiple accounts at the same time would mean if one account is compromised, all the other active accounts in the same session may also get compromised. But what if you need two separate Facebook accounts – one for your personal life and another for your professional life. There are 3rd party apps that can help you do that but let’s put that aside for this tutorial. This article will focus on running multiple Facebook account on a single session on OnePlus smartphones. OnePlus has an inbuilt function that lets you log in to multiple Facebook account or any other account at the same time. You won’t need to log out from one and log in to another. Here’s how to run two Facebook accounts on OnePlus device.
Run two Facebook accounts on OnePlus device
To achieve this, you will use a feature called Parallel Apps on your OnePlus device. This is the feature that lets you log in to multiple accounts of Facebook or any other platform at the same time. Follow the steps below;
Step 1: Open your OnePlus device’s Settings and tap on Utilities.
Step 2: Find and tap on Parallel Apps.
Step 3: When inside, you will see a list of apps that support this feature. In the list, you will find Facebook. This means Parallel apps can log in multiple accounts of Facebook at the same time.
Step 4: Tap on the toggle beside Facebook. This will create a “parallel” version of the app. A parallel version means a clone of the original app. This means you got 2 separate Facebook apps.
Step 5: Now go back to the home screen. You will find two icons of the Facebook app, but one is slightly different from another. You will see an orange circle on the bottom of the Facebook icon. This is the indication that this is the cloned app.
Step 6: Open the cloned version of the app and log in with another account.
If you want to remove the cloned or parallel app, all you have to do is tap the toggle again and the cloned app is gone. Note that all the data of the account logged in on the cloned app will be erased.
