One of the coolest features that Android Pie offers is the ability to change the layout, look and color of the Quick Settings and the Notification Menu. But you’ll need to upgrade your Android to Pie to have this feature, or do you? Android Pie may not have rolled out on your device or it may never even come, but you can use this feature by simply downloading an app for the Google Play Store. Here’s how to get Android Pie Quick Settings on any Android.
Get Android Pie Quick Settings
You can start by downloading the app called Power Shade. This app lets you replicate the look and feel of Android P’s Quick Settings on any Android. you can install it for free from the Google Play Store.
After the app has been installed, open the app and you’ll see an option to upgrade it to pro version. The difference between free and pro versions is the level of customization. However, you can achieve a good look and feel even with the free version of the app. But if you have some petty cash lying around, you can opt for the full version and get features like transparency adjustment and more layout options.
Now, you need to enable Power Shade. All you have to do is open the app and tap the slider that says Not Running. You’ll also see a simple menu with options such as Trigger, Color, etc. Make sure you grant every permission the app asks for it to run properly.
You now have to customize the settings as per your liking. Use the four option on the main menu – Triggers, Colors, Layout, and Extras, to customize the Quick Settings. You may find advanced options that require you to pay for the pro version. If you think it’s worth it, go spend some cash.
Once everything has been set according to your liking, your device will look like it’s running Pie.
