The camera on the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus is a strong reason to but either of them. It has 3 lenses – the primary 12MP lens for regular photos, the 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens for wide photos, and the 12MP zoomed lens for taking shots of objects that are far away. Overall, the camera and the phone seems great, but after the November update, some of the users are facing a persistent notification that says ‘refining picture’. This notification doesn’t just go away and the users end up restarting their device. So, what is this error and how do you get rid of it? You’re in the right place. Here’s how to fix refining picture notification on Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus.
Fix refining picture notification on Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus
This annoyingly persistent notification is caused by the battery management system. When it restricts the camera app from running in the background and when the camera app is closed before it finished processing the image, the notification appears and doesn’t go away.
You can try a couple of solutions to get rid of this notification.
Solution 1: Disable Put to sleep option
The 1st thing you can do to get rid of this notification is altering a setting on the process management system. You can turn off the background processing management that restricts the camera app from working in the background.
To do so,
Step 1: Go to Settings.
Step 2: Scroll down and tap on Device Care.
Step 3: Select Battery.
Step 4: Find the Camera app and tap on it.
Step 5: Disable Put To Sleep option. Enable Allow Background Activity.
Solution 2: Update the app
This should be the easiest and sensible thing to do to get rid of this issue. Samsung has rolled out an update just to fix this issue. All you need to do is update the camera app.
To do so,
Step 1: Open the Camera app.
Step 2: Tap on the gear icon located at the top left corner to get to the app’s settings.
Step 3: Scroll down and tap on About Camera.
Step 4: Tap on Update. Doing this will take you to the app’s Galaxy Store page.
Step 5: Tap on Update.
Solution 3: Clear Cache
If any of the above solutions didn’t work, which is highly unlikely, you can try clearing the app’s cache and see if that fixes the issue.
To do so,
Step 1: Go to Settings.
Step 2: Tap on Apps.
Step 3: Tap on the 3-dot menu icon at the top right corner.
Step 4: Tap on Show System Apps.
Step 5: Scroll through the list of apps and find Camera. Tap on it.
Step 6: Tap on Storage and then hit the Clear Cache button.
