LG newest flagship smartphone LG G5 for 2016 is looking to move on, from the philosophy of past with it’s premium design and new features. The LG G5 will certainly be one of the best Android Smartphone of this year. Forget what you think you knew, the LG G5 is a metal smartphone with a gorgeous display, killer cameras and yes, a modular design that lets you add to what already is a really good smartphone. A different design you can see that no longer remind you of previous model like back cover, curved body and button layout. Despite you will find a metal body with slightly round at the corners. This time volume rocker has moved to left side of the phone, to keep the phone as sleek as possible. The power button is on back as before but now it has finger print reader embedded inside and it even looks stylish. The phone is just 159 gm in term of heaviness so it is easy to carry.

Talking about display, it is 5.3 inch with IPS LCD screen that comes in a Quad HD resolution. It is quite bright in day light.  The last thing that is noticeable on the screen is 3D Arc glass design which provide little bit of the curve on the top, according to the LG, it is just for look but it makes easier while taking. It has Micro SD card slot that supports up to 200 GB. It run on latest snapdragon 820 processor, latest Adreno 530 GPU and 4 GB of RAM and the version of Android is 6.0.1 that is Marshmallow. New feature added this time is ALWAYS ON  which shows time, date, battery level by just consuming 0.8% of battery every hour.

This time we can find dual lens setup on back which is said to be inspiration from success of G4 and V10. As there are two lens at back, one is of 8 MP for the wide angle and another is of 16 MP for more conventional narrow capture . The front camera is of 8 MP. It is pretty drastic change going to wide angle view compared to narrow view. You are able to fit a lot more. Software has also changed for G5 as the GUI has been changed to remove a lot of the different features that we probably saw in G4 and thought that were over saturating.

The battery is 2800 mAh that is charged by USB Type C and supports quick charge 3.0. When you think battery is damaged or can’t seems to be working fine, you can actually replace it  yourself and that’s where the fun begin. The  little area on the button left actually has to be pushed in quite hard in order to remove button panel. By removing the button panel you actually slide out the battery itself and this battery can be snap out of the particular panel by pulling at the angle.

Probably by now, you should have known that the LG G5 is a modular phone. The bottom of the device is removable and can be swapped with different accessories that has different purpose. First module is LG Cam Plus and second module is LG  HiFi Plus.
The Cam Plus is said to be an interesting module that gives you manual and hardware control in order to take picture, zoom in and out, start video and also launch the camera from any place on the phone. This accessories adds 1200 mAh more to the battery overall giving  you 4000 mAh so you can use camera particular for longer amount of time.
LG HiFi Plus offers better improvement on the music you can listen to. Sound seems to be more powerful, and clear. It feels like you are listening to live music and it just make you feel music is alive. It also reduces the noise drastically.
