Control Music in Google Maps
This option is not enabled by default. You need to do it manually. Here’s how to do it.
First and foremost you need to make sure you have the latest version. Go to the Google Play Store and update it to the latest version if the app is outdated. Then, open Google Maps and look for the hamburger menu. It is the icon with 3 horizontal lines. You will find it at the top of the app. Tap on it and a navigation drawer will open. Scroll down till you see Settings. Tap on it.
Once you are inside, find Navigation and tap on it. You need to enable Show media playback controls option. Then, find Music Controls option. Tap on it and choose what music service you want to use. you get to choose from Spotify and Google Music.
This will enable music playback while navigating. The music will pause every time the app needs to tell you which way to go. This way you get to enjoy good music while getting the right directions.
