The Android’s default and most popular browser- Chrome browser gets updated. Along with Android, the browser has now been updated to version 40 on iOS too, and brings the excellency of material design for the users.

Chrome browser gets updated

In iOS, the Chrome browser (version 40.0.2214.61) is the only application to get the material design, which was introduced with the latest version of Android- 5.0 Lollipop. We do not need to mention here that the Chrome browser for Android (version 40.0.2214.89) has the material design too, as it is so obvious, as the whole system is the same now. The newest update for Chrome in Android also brings updated page info and content settings UI, along with a host of performance improvements. The bug-fix has been added for the one in iOS as well. Along with these, for the iOS, Chrome browser also includes some other improvements like support for bigger phones and and optimization for iOS 8, the latest version of iOS.

‘Material Design’ is meant to give Google’s mobile platform and services a universal look-and-feel, regardless of which device you’re using. The design involves a lot of solid flat colors, shadows and other things that suggest depth, as well as lots of animation. Through this, Google expects to develop a single underlying system that allows for a unified experience across platforms and device sizes. The flexibility of the material creates new affordances that supercede those in the physical world, without breaking the rules of physics.

The latest report has shown that there are almost 400 million active users of the mobile version of Chrome browser, and the number is increasing in constant. The chrome browser in your iOS or Android device might have been already updated by now, or in case the auto-update option is off, you can check it manually by going to your app store, update it and enjoy the latest material design, as well as all the other features.
