Motorola has all set its event of this year for September 4, which will be its biggest event for the recent few years. Motorola has already started sending out the invites through email to the tech journalists, and has also given the hint about the release of its new smartphones and wearable. The email links to an animated website that briefly shows icons clearly representing the Moto X, Moto G, a smartwatch and a Bluetooth earpiece, the same way it did to release Motorola Moto X last year. The Motorola event will be held in Chicago, exactly a day after Samsung’s event in Berlin.
This year, in the event, Moto X+1, Moto G2 and Moto 360 are expected to be launched by Motorola. According to the rumors which are circulating around and the leaks, the Moto X+1 will be Motorola’s flagship for this year, which will have a Snapdragon 801 chipset coupled with a 2.5 GHz quad core CPU, 2 GB RAM, 5.1 inches 1080p display, a 12 MP rear camera and a 2900 mAh battery.
The Moto G2 will be a mid-range device, an upgraded version of Moto G, and will most probably have a 5 inches 720p display, Snapdragon 400 chipset coupled with 1.2 GHz quad core CPU and Adreno 305 GPU and a 8 MP rear camera. Most of the specs of the Moto G2 are the same as its predecessor, except the display size and camera. The name, however, will only be finalized in 4th September, as there are rumors that the name can be Moto G+1 too.
The Moto 360, which was announced on March 18, is finally going to release a half years later, but it is not even confirmed. Its different photos leaked recently, which showed that it will have a metal body, along with wireless charging capabilities. The price of the Moto 360 is rumored to be around €249, and we will know if its true only in the Motorola event.
So, as of now, we are disparately waiting for the September 4 to come soon, and lets hope Motorola will do something good as usual.
