1st Step: First launch iTunes on your Computer and connect your iPhone X using USB cable.
2nd Step: Next you need to press volume up button and release it then again press volume down button and release it.
3rd Step: Then Press and hold power button for about 5 seconds until the screen goes completely black. [Power button is on right side of the phone]
4th Step: Press and hold volume down button while you are still holding the power button.
5th Step: You need to keep holding both buttons for about 5 seconds and then release the power button but keep holding the volume down button for more few seconds until you see a pop-up window on iTunes screen saying “iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode…..”
You have successfully entered into DFU mode of iPhone X.
How to Exit DFU mode on iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XSMax, iPhone XR:
1st Step: First Press volume up button and leave it, again press volume down button and leave it.
2nd Step: Now press and hold sleep/wake button until you see an Apple logo on the screen. This tells you that you have successfully exited the DFU mode from your iPhone.
