A few days after Asus released its Zenfone Zoom with 3X optical zoom feature, Oppo is now on the competition, which surpasses the record of Zenfone Zoom. The company has released a new phablet- Oppo U3, which packs 4X optical zoom feature, in a 13 MP Rear camera.
The Oppo U3 does not stand so high in case of the other specs though, as it is not a flagship device. It features a 5.9-inches Full HD (1920 X 1080 pixels) IPS LCD capacitive display. The phone will have 16 GB of internal memory with 2 GB of RAM and with an option of expandable storage option via microSD card upto 64 GB. For the processing power, there will be Mediatek MT6752 octa-core chipset, compiled with 1.7GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, and Mali T760MP2 GPU for gaming and graphics. For the photography and videography options, this smartphone will have a 13 MP primary camera with 4X optical zoom (as already mentioned above) autofocus and LED Flash which can capture videos upto 2160p @ 30 fps, and a 5 MP secondary camera for video calls and selfies. The battery capacity of this device is not yet specified yet. For the connectivity options, there will be LTE support, microUSB v2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi.
This device will have a LED Flash for its front camera too, which is outstanding to have for selfie lovers. The phablet comes with a dedicated AK4961 24-bit DAC manufactured by Asahi Kasei for excellent audio output. The specs of this phablet are quite different than what was rumored before, and we will see its rest on the day it launches in China, which is set on 14th of January. The pricing is also expected to be revealed on the same date, as we do not know anything about it on its official announcement. There are no any words on its international availability either, but we will update as soon as it comes to our knowledge.
