iOS 7.1.2 update version now available

Apple has released a new minor update version of iOS 7 yesterday, iOS 7.1.2. As the iDevices users are restlessly waiting for the final user version of  iOS 8 to be released on their iDevices, Apple has released this minor system update, which is claimed to be a bug fixes and security updates for the users, repairing an email attachment encryption issue and fixing a bug with data transfer for third-party accessories in addition to improvements to iBeacon.   • Improved iBeacon connectivity and stability.
  • Fixes a bug with data transfer for some 3rd party accessories, including barcode scanners.
  • Corrects an issue with data protection class of Mail attachments.

In time, the users get the notification to download and install the update automatically, but in case you have missed it, there is a way. Apple iOS users looking to install the update can do so by connecting their device to their computer and updating through iTunes or using the OTA, software update method located in the Settings > General > Software Update menu.

The update version is available for all the iOS devices which support iOS 7, namely iPhone 5S, 5C, 4S, 4, iPad Air, iPad Mini, iPad, iPad 2 and iPod Touch. If you plan to download the update on the device itself, the memory size of the file is 28MB to 30MB, depending upon the device. Apple had planned on the iOS 7.1.2 minor update version immediately after the release of iOS 7.1.1, and had started sending the update to the carrier partners starting last week. Along with the release of iOS 7.1.2, Apple has also released a minor update version for the Mac OS X, stepping further to version 10.9.4. This is also a bug fix update version for Mac, and has more useful changes than the user can actually notice in the device itself.
