How do you access this feature?

While you’re on Google Maps searching for directions, go into Route Info. There, you’ll find some information on parking difficulty on your destination and a link to find parking. When you tap on the link, a list of all the parking locations appears. You can choose one and add it to your destination so you don’t get lost in the way. Google Maps will also show you the walking directions from the parking spot to your final destination. The parking spaces are categorized into garages, lots and valet services.

Even if the city you’re on in not on the list of 25 cities that this feature currently works on, you can still be mentally prepared about how hard it is going to find a parking space. Google Maps bases its parking difficulty rating off of historical parking data. Parking difficulty icons are available on following US cities;
