 Forced Restart

The next time you start the keyboard, it will be as good as new. Forced stopping Gboard will also stop it from accessing its cache files. To force stop Gboard:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Apps & Notifications.
  3. Depending on the device, tap on Show All Apps or See All Apps, or something similar.
  4. Find and tap on Gboard.
  5. Tap on Force Stop.

  4. Find Gboard from the list.
  5. Tap on Storage & cache and then press the Clear Cache button. On some devices, the clear cache button is no the bottom of the app info page.
