Hello everyone, We all will be excited for the new ios update, the most recent version of software, that includes security fixes and new features. But when you try to update your phone it gets stucked at middle, don’t be panic i will give you 7 solutions for solving the isues on it:
1)Why won’t my iPhone update?
- Check whether your device model is eligible for the update or not.
- Storage space should be enough inorder to update the device.
- Charge should be above 50% and also can be charged when being updated.
- Your network speed should be fast.
- Restarting the router
- Restarting the device.
- If Apple’s servers are down, it could affect the update.
Method 1: Check whether your device is compatible?
Newer Apple devices are more likely to support iOS update, But all the older devices are not allowed for the update. This might be one reason that you cannot update the phone. You can check Apple’s official website inorder to confirm the availability of updates on your phone.
Method 2: Check your device storage?
For updating the ios 4 gb of storage will be required. Update may not load if we have limited storage. For storage we can delete unused apps, repeated videos and photos, etc. To free up space follow my instructions:
Step 1: Go to settings and tap in general.
Step 2: Tap on iphone storage to check and free-up space.
Method 3: Charge must be above 50% .
The update time depends on the file size of the update and network speed. Moreover, update time is not fixed.So, Device charge must be above 50% and also can be charged when being updated.
Method 4: check your network speed
Without the internet we cannot succeed with the IOS update. In order to update we should have high speed internet. In order to check network settings whether it is connected to wifi or cellular. For the settings, you first click on the settings and then general and you will be showed up the interface where you could see the wifi and mobile data on the interface.
If you are connected to poor network you can change the network. Sometimes resetting the network settings helps to fix connectivity and internet issues. The steps for resetting the network is below:
Step 1: Tap on settings and then to general.
Step 2: Scroll down to reset option and click on the reset network settings.
Method 5: Restarting the router:
Restarting devices or routers will help to fix any temporary glitches that might helps to update the phone. Steps to restart the routers and devices are as follows:
Step 1: In the back side of the router search for the power button until it turns off.
Step 2: Wait for 20 seconds to turn off the router completely and then power it on.
Method 6: Restarting the devices:
Step 1: Press the volume up and down button simultaneously and then the power off button for 15 seconds.
Method 7 : Check Apple server
When the new ios is launched the problem is not in your device it is on the apple server. Due to the high traffic in their server, the server can be down for a moment.
