Microsoft Lumia 535 goes official: specs and details

After Microsoft announced that the ‘Nokia’ brand name in its WP- operating Lumia phones will be removed onwards, the company has announced a new lumia smartphone for the first time with an official ‘Microsoft’ name. The smartphone is Microsoft Lumia 535, which will have Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, and will have the entry-level specifications.

While discussing about the specs of the Microsoft Lumia 535, it features a 5.-inch qHD (540 x 960 pixels) IPS LCD capacitive display, which has a pixel density of 220 ppi, and will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The handset sports a sleek profile with dimensions 140.2 x 72.4 x 8.8 mm and weighs 146 g, which is quite heavy but is fine given the display size. The phone will have 8 GB of internal memory, with an option of expandable storage upto 128 GB. It will have a 1 GB RAM,  and for the processing power, there will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset complied with a Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU, and an Adreno 302 GPU for gaming and graphics. For the photography and videography options, this smartphone will have a 5 MP primary camera with autofocus and LED flash which can capture videos upto 480p @ 24 fps, and a 5 MP secondary camera for video calls and selfies. The juice will be provided by a Li-Ion 1905 mAh battery, which is said to give the talktime of upto 13 hours in 3G. For the connectivity options, there will be 3G support, microUSB v2.0, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi. The phone will run on Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, which is the latest version of the Windows Phone. The phone will be available in Orange, green, white, black, gray and blue colour options in the market.

As said by Microsoft, there will be two versions of this phone, and the only difference between them will be the SIM support. One will support a single SIM, whereas another will be a dual-SIM supporting device. The Microsoft Lumia 535 will be available later this month in China, Hong Kong, and Bangladesh, starting at €110 (about $135).
