Assassin’s Creed PiratesAssassin’s Creed Pirates

Anyone who is a casual gamer would have surely heard of the Assassin’s Creed series. Though it may not resemble the gameplay of the traditional Assassin’s Creed series, it is still fun to play. Although those who have played AC on their console or PC will be disappointed a bit. The game is set on the sea and the sea alone and the only time you’re not on the see is during cut scenes. You play as a pirate called Alonzo who has a ship which is given to him by a pirate called La Buse. Your ship can be handled easily with some taps of buttons and swipes and can be upgraded with perks. Basically, you have to complete a series of quests to reach next map with a new set of challenges. Missions may include combat, racing through checkpoints and sneaking past enemies’ patrol. Altogether, the game is pretty fun to play if you don’t care much about how the original Assassin’s Creed was.

The story is simple but most of the time you won’t know what is happening but you will be curious to find out – this is the specialty of this game. I won’t be going in the story in detail. The gameplay is much more than just point and click. You have to play a mini game to earn map which shows how you can solve the puzzles in a particular map but if you don’t want such help, it will take you weeks to completely finish Machinarium. Minecraft Pocket Edition

This is another popular PC game adapted to our beloved android. Although the Pocket Edition may not be as deep as the PC version, it is still an excellent port with great building experience. Like the original Minecraft, this version has the same gameplay – you have to mine blocks and craft building and items using them. You can enjoy this game with two modes – creative and survival. In creative mode, you can build anything you like with the unlimited resources at your disposal, while in survival you have to build during day time using the items you have crafted and during night time the monsters come attacking players and destroy their creations. There is no storyline. The game is light, which means even if you have apps running in the background you will not experience lags. The controls are easy too but you may have to get used to it. The multiplayer mode is where the ultimate fun lies. If the players are on the same Wi-Fi network, they can connect on other player’s world and start playing.
