After announcing its latest premium Android smartphones- Xperia Z Compact and Xperia Z1s at CES 2014, Sony is adding more devices to its product line targeting budget conscious consumers of emerging markets in Asia. The latest addition is Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia E1. The Xperia T2 Ultra is a mid-ranged phablet whereas the E1 is a compact budget smartphone with mostly ordinary specifications except a powerful external speaker and a dedicated Walkman button. Both of these devices are available in dual sim variants.

The E1 targets music lovers with its powerful external speakers supporting upto 100dB, a dedicated Walkman button, physical volume controls for Walkman app and shake-to-shuffle play controls. The pricing and release date hasn’t been confirmed yet but it is highly unlikely that these devices will make an appearance in Europe or America any time soon. The developing parts in Asia will be the first to get the budget friendly Sony Xperia E1 and T2 Ultra.
