Samsung Galaxy Avant for T-Mobile: Specs and all

Samsung has released its new mid-ranger device- the Samsung Galaxy Avant. As of now, this new smartphone by the Korean tech giant is only available for T-Mobile carrier in the US. It does not have that sorts of innovations, and has the specs merely of the mid-range android smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy Avant has a 4.5 inches capacitive touchscreen of 540 X 960 pixels, giving a pixel density of 245 ppi. It’s the sad aspect that it has no any protection in its outer layer. Physically, it measures 132.9 x 66 x 9.9 mm, and has the weight of 136.9 grams. It will have 16 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded by using a microSD card upto 64 GB. There will be a 1.5 GB RAM for the multitasking, and for the processing power, there is a quad-core 1.2 GHz CPU (the GPU is not specified). For the photography and videography, there is a 5 MP Rear camera with LED Flash with video recording of upto 720 pixels, and a 2 MP secondary camera for selfies and video calls. The battery of this new phone, which is of 2100 mAh capacity is however considered to be decent as it is claimed to give the talktime of upto 18 hours.  For the connectivity options, there will be LTE support, WiFi, microUSB v2.0, Bluetooth and NFC. The phone will have the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, and is not much likely to get the updates in the future (Samsung is usually bad for updates for its high end devices too). The other features which are included in this phones are that it will have a FM Radio (missed by Samsung in most of its flagships and high-end devices), and the ‘remote unlock’ feature. The phone will be available only in black color.

The Samsung Galaxy Avant for T-Mobile will cost you $216, and it is also available in a two-year contract, which will cost you $9 a month. This is not much cheap, neither too expensive too, and hence is OK for the specs given. We still have to see if Samsung intends to launch it across the globe, and if it does, we will update you further.
