LG announces a couple of budget L series smartphones

LG has recently released two new affordable Android smartphones- the LG L Bello and LG L Fino, and are set to be shown in the IFA Berlin next month. Both the budget L series smartphones operate on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and have quite fine mid-range specs, except the display can be considered not to be OK.

LG L Bello is the slightly more capable member of the duet. The phone measures 138.2x 70.6x 10.7mm in dimensions, and it packs a 1.3 GHz quad-core CPU, 5” FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) IPS display and 21Mbps HSPA+. It will have a 8MP main camera with autofocus and LED Flash, and a 1 MP front camera. There’s 1 GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in, further expandable (via microSD card slot) memory on board as well. Available in white, black, and gold color options in the future smartphone market, a 2,540mAh battery powers it which is expected to run quite fine.

LG L Fino on the other hand, packs slighly lower specs than the Bello. It physically measures 127.5 x 67.9 x 11.9mm, and has a 4.5” WVGA (480 x 800) display and 1.2GHz quad-core CPU. It will have a 8MP main camera with LED Flash, coupled with a VGA secondary camera, and 1GB of RAM, 4GB of expandable memory and HSPA+ network connectivity. A 1,900mAh battery will provide all the power needed for the handset. The smartphone will be available in white, black, gold, red, or green color options, depending on the market.

While most of the specs are higher in LG L Bello, the display of the L Fino is slightly better due to higher pixel density (it will not be noticable much though). Both devices will be having the LG’s proprietary UX interface, and will include many of LG’s excellent software features, such as Knock Code, Quick Circle compatibility and the funky rear-key setup. Both the budget L series smartphones are said to be available in Latin America from later this month, which will be followed by Europe, Asia, and CIS thereafter. The price will revealed only at the launch, and if you are looking for a powerful budget smartphone which looks like the G3 beast, you can go for one of these.
