How to unlock android phone without losing the data, if you forgot pattern or password

Security is the first priority that every individual gives to his/her smartphone. Nobody wants to show the information of their phone to others which makes  them  lock their phone through different security lock mode. Sometimes the same lock can make you cry when u forgot the pattern or password because of the valuable data and  information inside the phone. Factory format is one option  but it is not very good idea to go for .But now you don’t have to worry anymore. Here I will show you step by step how to unlock android phone without losing the data.

There are two requirement to reset the password without losing the data.

  1. You should have enabled the Google Setting ,which by default is enable in new devices.
    To enable the remote password reset. (This should be done before you get locked).
    – Go to Google Setting  > Security  > Enable, Allow remote lock and erase.
    Also  Enable, Remotely locate this device which helps you to find your device when it is lost, by showing the location on Android Device Manager.
  1. Your phone have to be connected either by wi-fi or mobile data.
    After which you can remotely reset the password using you pc. Now go to Android Device Manager from you laptop/Pc. To go to Android Device Manager type www.google.com/android/devicemanager in your URL bar.

          Note: You should Log in with same G-mail account that have been loged in your device/play store.

A dialogue box of Android Device Manager will appear then click on the Accept option.After that it will be synchronized to your device. On laptop/Pc screen you can see your device name and three option Ring, Lock and Erase. Now click on Lock option. Again another dialogue box  will appear. Remember, Erase option is only used when you lost your device or someone stole your device because it erases all the valuable data and information in it. The Ring options allows you to ring your device in full volume for five minutes.

Now, type the new password and write the message that you want to display in your phone and provide your number (In case someone finds your device he can call you).  Then click on Lock option.

Successfully message send will be displayed on your laptop screen and your device will also display a locked message.

Unless you don’t enter the password the device won’t be unlocked. Now go to the lock screen and enter the password that you entered in Android Device manager. You won’t believe your eyes. Your device will be unlocked without losing the data. This is the simplest method to unlock your device without losing the data.

  3. Hello, can you help ? i have forgotten the pattern lock. when i log in device manager it shows, ring lock and erase. In lock it is only message and number. Please help as it contains my fathers pics who passed away two months back. so i do not want to erase it.
