HOW TO PERFORM HARDWARE TEST ON SAMSUNG GALAXY S10, S9, S8, S7, S6, S5 (S-SERIES)

Today I am going to talk about the Samsung Galaxy S10/S10+, S9/S9 Plus, S8/S8+, S7/S7 Edge, S6, S5 (all Galaxy S-Series) hardware test. In this article, I am going to show the procedure of how to use such secret codes. As you know, secret codes are the unique alpha-numeric character used in the Android device to check the hardware and software status of the device.

Previously, we wrote an article regarding “Secret Codes To Test Hardware in Android Smartphone. In this article, I listed all the codes that can run on every smartphone. Some codes may not work as these codes are unique and specific to the manufacturer.

This article only focuses on the users who own the Samsung Galaxy S10/S10+, S9/S9 Plus, S8/S8+, S7/S7 Edge etc. The check codes or secret codes are shown here only works on the Samsung smartphone. Basically, hardware tests are carried out to check the basic functionality of the device. Here I have performed the test on touchscreen sensitivity. Please follow the following steps to perform any hardware test on your Samsung Galaxy devices.

Step 1: Tap on Phone Icon.

Step 2: Dial secret code using the keypad.

Step 3: Tap on the feature to test.

A test page will be presented to your screen after dialling the code. From the page select the feature that you want to test. Here I have selected the Touch feature to check the Touchscreen sensitivity.

Step 4: Test the feature

Furthermore, you can tap on the feature a test screen will appear. Just slide your finger over the small grid boxes. If all the grid boxes turned into a green then the device has passed the test.
