In its quest to cover the entire globe, Google Maps has added 25 more countries to its list. With these new additions, Google Maps now covers a total of 99 countries which means you can use Google Maps in more than half of the world’s nations.
The new additions to Google Maps are- Andorra, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burundi, Central African Republic, Croatia, Djibouti, Gabon, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Lesotho, Libya, Maldives, Mongolia, Puerto Rico, Republic of Congo, Samoa, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Togo, Tonga, Tunisia,Vanuatu and Zambia. As you can see, most of the additions are small African countries.
If you are a tourist traveling to these places, you can now use Google Maps for directions and navigation. Right now the Google Maps for the above list of countries is dubbed as Beta because some countries support turn by turn navigation only in selected regions.
