Get Google Pixel Boot Animation

Before you begin, make sure your device is rooted. This will not work without root access. If you do not have root access, find the way to root your device and then come back once its rooted. This tutorial is not going anywhere.

We will be talking about 2 methods which you can use to get Google Pixel Boot Animation. The first one is the easiest one and uses TWRP recovery to flash the zip containing the boot animation.

Using TWRP

TWRP is currently the most popular custom recovery for any rooted Android. Even if you haven’t flashed TWRP, you can do it now. Find the image file for your smartphone from TWRP’s official site. If you already have a custom recovery but not TWRP, do not worry. All you have to do is flash a zip file. The process is the same for any custom recovery; the only thing that’s different is the path. If you’re smart enough to root your Android, I am pretty sure you’ll find your way.

First, download the boot animation file from here. Now, follow the steps below;

Step 1: Shutdown your device and get into TWRP. The way to enter the recovery may vary from device to device.

Step 2: Tap on Install.

Step 3: Find the flashable zip file you downloaded earlier.

Step 4: Swipe on the indicator to flash the zip.

Step 5: After the device restarts, you will see the brand new boot animation.

Using Copy and Paste

You can also manually change the boot animation by simple copying and pasting the boot animation file. This method comes on handy if you do not have a custom recovery. You will still need root access though. Follow the steps;

Step 1: Open the root browser of your choice.

Step 2: Copy the bootanimation.zip file.

Step 3: Navigate to /system/media.

Step 4:  Replace the existing bootanimation.zip file.

Step 5: Restart the device and enjoy the new boot animation.
