This guide is for those with Samsung Galaxy S10 that is not totally dead but is having boot loops. Boot loops mean the phone boots up, shows boot logo but stuck in the boot animation or reboots again. This issue makes the phone unusable as you cannot get past the boot animation. Here are the possible solutions you can try.

Forced Restart:

A simply forced reboot may be the only thing you may need to do to make your Galaxy S10 work again. Performing a forced reboot is simple. All you have to do is press and hold the Volume Down button and then press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds till you see the boot logo.

Safe Mode:

If a forced reboot didn’t work, you can try to boot into safe mode and remove the app that might be causing the problem. When in safe mode, the OS will only run the necessary apps for it to run properly. All other apps are disabled. If you think an app is causing the problem (probably the app that you recently installed), you can try this solution.

To boot into safe mode;

1. Turn off the phone.
2. Press and hold the Power button after the name and model number are shown.
3. After you see the Samsung logo, release the Power button.
4. Just after releasing the Power button, press and hold the Volume Down button.
5. Don’t release the button till the device reboots.
6. When you see Safe Mode text at the bottom left corner, you can let go of the Volume Down button.
7. Now find and uninstall the app that you think is the culprit.

Recovery Mode:

Another solution you can try is to perform a wipe from the Recovery Mode. Recovery Mode is an environment that is separate from the Android OS. Inside Recovery Mode, you can perform wipes and factory resets. This could fix the booting problem.

To get into Recovery Mode on Samsung Galaxy S10;

1. Turn the phone off. It is recommended to charge your device to at least 50% before attempting this solution. An unintended power off during this may cause more harm than good.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up button, the Bixby button and then the Power Key.
3. After you see a green Android logo on the screen, let go of all the buttons.
4. After a minute, you will see the recovery menu.
5. You can wipe cache partition and perform a factory reset.
