How to Enable notification snoozing on Android 10

There are people who leave tons of notifications unseen on their Android. They do not feel bothered with notification covering their whole screen. Then there are people who prefer to deal with notification as soon as they get it. When they don’t have time to deal with any notification, they would prefer an option to make the notifications appear after a period of time. That option is called notification snoozing. This feature was available on Android 9, and it is available on Android 10 too but it is not enabled by default. With only a few steps, you can get it back. Here’s how to enable notification snoozing on Android 10.

We do not know what Google decided to disable it by default as it is a necessary feature needed by some. But fear not, enabling it is a piece of cake and you will have no difficulty in doing so. All you have to do is follow a few easy steps below;

Step 1: Find and tap on the System Settings icon from either the Quick Settings menu or from the Apps drawer. The icon looks like a gear.

Step 2: Once you’re inside the system Settings, find Apps & notifications and tap on it.

Step 3: Inside Apps & notifications, find and select the Notifications button.

Step 4: Scroll down and tap on Advanced to access the advanced section.

Step 5: When inside, you will find an option named Allow notification snoozing. Tap on the toggle beside it to enable the option.

This is it. Notifications snoozing is now enabled. To use it, swipe a notification to the right to reveal two icons – a clock icon and a gear icon. We are only concerned with the clock icon on this tutorial. Tapping on this icon will snooze the notification. You get the option to snooze the notification for 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour and 2 hours. The snoozed notification will disappear and appear after the selected time.

The default time is set to 1 hour but you can undo it and select your preferred time from the options. Now for the people who want to have a clean lock screen or notification shade, but do not want to keep the unseen notification and at the same time od not want to discard the notification without seeing it first, this simple feature will be a godsend.
