Most of you started using Facebook back in its early days. You were probably in school and you’ve just jumped into the world of online social networking. You were young and you’ve just found a platform you can use to vent out or be heard. Now, you’ve changed. You’ve grown older. The posts and captions that you thought were cool and relevant back then are most probably cringe at most today. It is wise that you have decided to delete those posts. Instead of individually deleting those posts one by one, you can do it in an easier way. Here’s how to delete Facebook posts in bulk.
Delete Facebook Posts in Bulk
You can use both your phone and laptop to do this. I’ll put both the methods here and you can choose whichever you find easier. So, without further ado, let’s see how you can delete Facebook posts in bulk using both the app and web client.
Delete Facebook Posts in Bulk Using App
Step 1: Open the Facebook app on your smartphone and log in if you haven’t already.
Step 2: Once you’re in, tap on your profile picture located on the upper left side of the screen.
Step 3: This will take you to your profile. Once there, you will see 3 horizontal dots beside “Edit Profile”. Tap on it.
Step 4: You will see a bunch of options. Find “Activity Log” and tap on it.
Step 5: Since you are interested in deleting posts, tap on “Manage Your Posts”. However, if you want to manage your tags too, you can come back and do so later.
Step 6: You might need to wait a couple of seconds to let the app populate the list of all your posts.
Step 7: After the wait, a menu will open. You can either check all the irrelevant posts manually or tap on all to select all. You can also filter posts by date, posted by, privacy and tagged posts.
Step 8: When you’re done selecting, tap on the “Trash” buttons and get it over with. All your embarrassing, irrelevant, and cringy posts are now history.
Delete Facebook Posts in Bulk Using Web Client
Step 1: Go to Facebook.com and log in to your account.
Step 2: Click on your profile picture located just below the Facebook logo on the upper left side.
Step 3: Once your profile opens, click on the horizontal dots located under “Edit Profile”.
Step 4: Click on it and then on “Activity Log”. This will open up a menu with a bunch of options.
Step 5: Under “Activity Log” click on “Your posts”.
Step 6: All your posts will be shown on the right side. Click on All to select all or choose the posts individually.
Step 7: Once you’re done, click on “Recycle Bin”. You can also archive the posts if you want to keep the posts for memories and do not want to straight-up delete them.
This is it—no more embarrassing posts. You can now use your Facebook with a clean slate.
