Cyanogenmod “incognito mode” coming soon to protect your personal data from apps

 cyanoogenmod LO

Great news for Cyanogenmod (CM) users. CM developers are planning to add a “run in incognito” mode in the latest Cyanogenmod ROM. Users will be able to simply go to system settings and turn this feature on. In the Incognito mode, third party apps will not be able to access your personal information. Even when the apps request such information, your ROM or operating system will return empty list for contacts, messages, calendar and browser history. Your location will also be invisible since GPS will appear as off to apps.

Cyanogenmod community has always worked hard to provide maximum control to android users and kudos to CM Team for this latest feature. We are sure CM fans can’t wait to download and flash the new goodies.
