Google Assistant was debuted in May 2016. Since then it has gained loads of new and better features and has expanded itself to more phones, and other Android or Google devices. One such feature is the ability to change its voice to any of the six available voices. Google Assistant is available only on devices running Android Marshmallow and above. It is quite simple to change the voice of Google Assistant on your phone. Follow the steps mentioned below;

Step 1: Press and hold the home button to access Google Assistant.

Step 2: Tap on the blue button located at the top right corner.

Step 3: Tap on the menu button.

Step 4: Select Settings.

Step 5: Go to Preferences and the Tap on Assistant voice.

Step 6: Select the voice you prefer.

You have the option to select a male or female voice with soft to deep voices. These voices are completely computer generated.

Change voice of Google Assistant on your Google Home

The process is pretty similar to the one we’ve done for the Android phone. To change the voice of Google Assistant on Google home, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Open Google Home app on your device.

Step 2: Access the menu on the left side.

Step 3: Select More Settings.

Step 4: Tap on Preferences.

Step 5: Tap on Assistant voice.

Step 6: Now, select the voice you want.

This is it. Following the methods mentioned above, you can change the voice of Google Assistant to something new and preferable. However, this may not be doable in every country. And it is not possible to set the voice of Google Assistant different on different devices if you have logged in from the same account. You’ll need to log in from different accounts on different devices to set the voice different.
