By now everybody may have probably heard about Google Assistant – Android’s voice companion or digital assistant. With it, you can easily use your Android device hands-free. You can change settings, Google information, send messages along with many other things using nothing but your voice. As Google Assistant is available for a lot of devices, it it wise to use it to maximize your efficiency. One such thing that it does it play music. But if you cannot connect to the streaming service you want, then the functionality is limited. However, this is not the case. Here’s how to change music player for Google Assistant.
Change Music Player for Google Assistant
Step 1: Open Google Assistant but pressing and holding the Home button.
Step 2: Tap on the drawer icon to access the Assistant’s menu.
Step 3: Tap the 3 dot menu on the upper right side and select Settings.
Step 4: Go to Services header and then choose Music.
Step 5: You’ll be presented with the list of all the compatible music services. Tap on the one you want to set it as default.
Step 6: In case you don’t see your preferred service, tap on More music services and follow the instructions to link it to your Google account. And you’re done.
Now, whenever you ask Google Assistant to Play a music, it will use the player you selected as default. You will save a few annoying seconds by not having to tell on which streaming service you want it to play from. Note that this only works on the music played by Google Assistant. This is particularly useful when you’re driving. You can access your favorite playlist faster.
