Apple Event 9/9 Highlights: Stuffs that were released

This year’s most awaited Apple event is over now, and as expected, Apple has launched a new line of some pretty decent products. Following the smartphone lineup, this year Apple announced the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus (the plus version started from this year). Apart from this, the iPad Pro, the Apple Pencil (similar to the S-Pen in Samsung Galaxy Note series) and many other products were launched.

Here, we are going to have some quick details about the important stuffs that were announced in the Apple Event:

iPhone 6S and 6S Plus

So, two of the most anticipated phones of the year are out in the market now. However, unlike last year, Apple did not surprise the customers this time in case of these two super smartphone. Of course there are some features and specifications upgraded than last year’s devices, many of them remain the same. The important aspects which are changed in these beasts are :

Camera: Both the phones now come up with 12 MP primary camera (video recording up to 2160p@30fps and 720p@240 fps, which is pretty awesome), and a 5 MP secondary camera.

Processor: The 6S Plus carries slightly more powerful than the 6S, but both come up with upgraded chipset.

OS: Both come with the iOS9 preinstalled, but this is not really an upgraded feature, since most of the iPhones get it anyway.

RAM: Both smartphones come with 2 GB RAM, up from 1 GB in their predecessors.

Features: In the new iPhones, there are some really tempting features like 3D-touch, Live photos and 23 LTE bands support.

Apart from these, most of the specs: display, size, dimensions, battery, weight, network support is same as their predecessors. One important point to notice is that Apple has not increased the price, the iPhone 6Sis priced starting from $649, and the iPhone 6S Plus is priced starting from $749.

iPad Pro:

The iPad Pro is finally here after months of rumors.  This device packs in plenty of features and tons of power, but the focus seems to be on multitasking using all of that screen real estate. It uses a 12.9-inch display (2732 x 2048 resolution with 264 ppi), and makes use of the new split screen app features of iOS 9. The width of the iPad Pro is the same as the height of the iPad Air 2. Inside it’s using Apple’s new A9X processor, which Apple claims is 1.8 times faster than the previous chip it replaces. It offers a 10-hour battery life. Apple’s also included four speakers for a great audio experience. The entire thing is 6.9mm thin and weighs just 1.57 pounds. It’s set to launch in November.

The iPad Pro comes in space gray, gold and silver. It starts at $799 for a Wi-Fi only 32GB model. You can upgrade to 128GB for $949, and add cellular on top of that for a whopping $1079.

Apple also has an Apple Pencil (yes, really, and it makes this more exciting) that works as a stylus for the tablet. When you’re using the Pencil, the iPad Pro increases the amount of scanning on the surface of the display to improve accuracy. The Apple Pencil has sensitivity sensors so you can press lightly for brief strokes or harder for wider strokes. Apple claims it feels like a true writing or drawing instrument. Along with this, there’s also a specially designed keyboard-kickstand attachment for the new tablet. It’s a little pricy though at $169.

Apple TV:

The new Apple TV is much more powerful than its predecessor, which is a crucial upgrade for the device’s gaming ambitions. It’s powered by a 64-bit A8 processor and supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. The new Apple TV will be available in two versions: $149 for the 32GB model, and $199 for the 64GB model, and both start shipping to the US and dozens of other countries in October. The current Apple TV box remains on sale at $69. UK and Australian prices for the new model have not yet been announced, but $149 and $199 convert to £95 and £130, or AU$210 and AU$285.
