Samsung Galaxy S8 is a beast. It has been a few months since it hit shelves and it’s fair to say it changes what we think about phones a bit. The edge-to-edge design that Samsung unleashed in its 2017 flagships has started to spread out. The front side is all screen with a few buttons on the side. One of those buttons is the Bixby button. Bixby, for those who don’t know, is Samsung’s very own digital assistant. Samsung included it for their users’ convenience, but not all love it. You can disable it, but wouldn’t it be nice if you could launch Google Assistant with the same button? Here’s how to remap Bixby button to launch Google Assistant in Galaxy S8.
You cannot remap the button by default; you can only disable it. However, with an app called All in one Gestures, you will be able to accomplish that. You can already download the app from the Google Play Store for free. Follow the steps below to remap Bixby button to launch Goole Assistant.
Step 1: Install All in one Gestures from the Google Play Store.
Step 2: Open the app.
Step 3: You will be prompted for a permission to access the system settings. Allow it.
Step 4: Now, you will be presented with the app’s main screen. Swipe left to get into Hard Keys tab.
Step 5: Enable Hard Keys. This will open another window, where you’ll be asked to turn on app’s Accessibility Service. Enable it.
Step 6: Return to the app and tap on the button located in the top-right corner. Select Custom Key and press Bixby button. Go back after Bixby launches to register the key code.
Step 7: Add the code and select the box adjacent to the Key Code. Tap on the search field and select Voice Search. And you’re done.
Now, pressing the Bixby button will launch Google Assistant. If you are not keen on Bixby, use this workaround to remap its button to Google Assistant or any other app of your choice.

Useless as a fifth teat on a dairy cow. 1st of all, when activating service from tap to swipe in accessibility, AIOG requires permission to monitor all credit card data. Only liberals are stupid enough to use this free app which clearly averred it does NOT request any permissions. Liberalism is a mental disorder. This app has security breach built into it numb & dumb use it simply because it is a toy app.
