Do More With Quick Tiles

there are so many things you could do to/with your Android that its inevitable to be unaware of some. Its highly customizable nature makes it the King of smart devices’ market. Below are some of the things you can do with your Android that you may not be aware of. Since Android has a diverse ecosystem and all the devices are unique in their own way, some of the tricks mention below may not work the same on all devices. Here are some Android tricks, including how to do more with quick tiles.

Custom Quick Tiles

This is, in my opinion, the best feature we have on Android. Quick Tiles is the part of Notification Panel that allows you to quickly toggle on frequently used system settings without having to visit their page. You can toggle on Wifi, Bluetooth, screen orientation, etc quickly form these tiles. You can rearrange them as per your preference. And the best part is, you can download extra tiles from the Play Store such as:

1. Weather Tile: Shows you the weather and temperature. Download here
2. Caffeinate: Keeps screen awake for 5 minutes. Download here
3. Quick Search: Does a web search. Download here
4. Tiles: Lets you create your own tiles. Download here

Here’s how to add a Quick Tile;

1. Pull down the Quick Settings.
2. Tap on Edit icon ( the pencil icon).
3. Find the tile you want and drag it to the Quick Settings.

Hide Lock Screen Notifications

You probably have a lock screen security enabled to stop unauthorized access to your device, but what about the notification that is shown on the lock screen itself? You can hide the stuff display on the lock screen such as SMS content. Here’s how;

1. Go to Settings.
2. Go to Notifications.
3. Tap on the gear icon.
4. Tap on On the lock screen or Lock screen
5. Choose from the available options: Don’t show notifications at all, Show all notification content, and Hide sensitive notification content.

Gestures on Fingerprint Scanner

Most of the devices today come equipped with a fingerprint scanner. This can be used do stuff other than just open your device. With the app called Fingerprint Quick Actions, you can assign various gestures to do more. Here’s how;

1. Download Fingerprint Quick Action from the Google Play Store here.
2. Open the app and enable Fingerprint Quick Actions.
3. Give the Accessibility permissions when asked.
4. Go to the app and assign actions for Single tap, Fast swipe, and Double tap.
