Oppo R1C goes official in two editions

Oppo has landed another smartphone in the market- Oppo R1C. Just after a couple of days it’s rumors started circulating around (which indicated that the phone was going to be released on January 14th), the Oppo R1C is official, with some mid-range specs, and a Sapphire Crystal back panel.

The other specs of the Oppo R1C are awesome not that good though. It features a 5-inches HD (1280×720 pixels) Super AMOLED capacitive display, which has a pixel density of 294 ppi. The handset is sleek, the dimensions are not yet specified but it looks attractive and light. The phone will have 16 GB of internal memory with 2 GB of RAM and with an option of expandable storage option via microSD card upto 128 GB. For the processing power, there will be Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset, compiled with Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, and Adreno 405 GPU for gaming and graphics. For the photography and videography options, this smartphone will have a 13 MP primary camera with autofocus and LED Flash which can capture videos upto 1080p @ 30 fps, and a 5 MP  secondary camera for video calls and selfies. The juice will be provided by a Non-removable Li-Po 2420 mAh battery. For the connectivity options, there will be LTE support, microUSB v2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GLONASS, NFC and A-GPS. The phone will run on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of box with Oppo’s ColorOS UI 2.0.1 over it, and the company says that Lollipop for this device is on it’s way.

The rear shooter used in this device is uses Sony IMX214 sensor, with a f/2.0 aperture, which is claimed to produce great images, especially while in low light. As already said, it will have two editions- one with a sapphire crystal glass back panel, and one normal white edition. Oppo claims that the users can see their reflection from every angle, in the sapphire crystal panel.

The Oppo R1C will go for sale on China starting 20th January at 10:00 AM, but the interested can pre-order one from here. Nothing is said about its international availability yet, and the phone will cost 2,499 RMB ($403), which is not that great, but is OK.
