microsoft officially abandons android

After some months Microsoft bought Nokia last year, there was certainly a good announcement that Nokia Android phones  are going to be available in the market, which was actually loved so much by the Nokia lovers who wanted to use android. It was just the last month that Nokia had released the Nokia X2, the new upgraded android phone, and no sooner Microsoft has given us the surprise. The designs of the Future Nokia X models are said to shift to the Microsoft Windows Phones, as Microsoft is now onwards concentrating on the development of Windows Phone only. The layoff off so many employees is also going to happen for the first time in the Microsoft’s history. The CEO of the Microsoft, Satya Nadella, had emailed the employees about the layoff and closure of the project, and in addition to this, there was also an email from Stephen Elop, chief of Microsoft devices. The part of Elop’s email mentions:

In addition to the portfolio already planned, we plan to deliver additional lower-cost Lumia devices by shifting select future Nokia X designs and products to Windows Phone devices. We expect to make this shift immediately while continuing to sell and support existing Nokia X products.

Nokia X series phones were not much appreciated though, and were predicted to be a fail by many experts earlier. Nobody had however, thought that this would happen so fast. The support of the Nokia X devices are also said to be shut down, but there is no official statement about the recently released Nokia X2. Nobody would want to buy the Nokia X2 onwards, because the customers would want good support and service afterwards. It was a good fact though, that Microsoft  even made two Android devices, since nobody had expected previously that Nokia would ever manufacture the Android devices (the users were confirmed further after Microsoft acquired Nokia). Still, Good luck to Microsoft for its Windows Phone products!
