Microsoft has recently released a new lowly smartphone- the Microsoft Lumia 430, targeting budget users. The specs of this smartphone are pretty low, and definitely unimpressive, but it has a price tag which is good enough to attract a number of budget-oriented customers in specific markets.
The Microsoft Lumia 430 features a 4-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) TFT capacitive display, which has a pixel density of 235 ppi. The handset is sleek, with dimensions 120.5 x 63.2 x 10.6 mm and weighs 128 grams, which is fine, given the display size. The phone will have 8 GB of internal memory, and will have the expandable storage option via microSD card upto 128 GB. It has 1 GB RAM, and for the processing power, there will be a Qualcomm MSM8210 Snapdragon 200 chipset, compiled with a Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU, and will have Adreno 302 GPU for gaming and graphics. For the photography and videography options, this smartphone will have a 2 MP primary camera with autofocus, which can capture videos upto 480p @ 30 fps, and a VGA secondary camera for video calls and selfies. The juice will be provided by a Non-removable Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery. For the connectivity options, there will be 3G support, microUSB v2.0, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi. The phone will run on Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 operating system out of box, and is planned to get the Windows 10 update in near future (that will precisely happen only after the version goes official!). The phone will be available only in Black and Orange color options.
The dual-SIM handset will be hitting stores in India, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus sometime this April, where it is expected to place a firm grip for Microsoft, boosting up the lost market. The phone, with a price tag of $70, will directly compete with the similarly configured and priced Android handsets, the major of which will be the Motorola Moto E 2015.
