Huawei Honor 6 plus goes official with a dual camera

Huawei has recently released a bigger sibling of its Honor 6- the Huawei Honor 6 Plus. The phone’s biggest specialty is its 8 MP dual camera in the back, which is claimed to shoot excellent images in the dark, with 0.1 seconds focus time.

The Huawei Honor 6 plus does not stand so high in case of the other specs though. It features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) IPS LCD capacitive display, which has a pixel density of 401 ppi. The handset is obviously sleek, with dimensions 150.5 x 75.7 x 7.5 mm. The phone will have 16 GB of internal memory (32 GB version will also be available), and will have the expandable storage option via microSD card upto 128 GB. It will have 3 GB RAM,  and for the processing power, there will be a HiSilicon Kirin 925 chipset compiled with a Quad-core Cortex-A15 & quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU, and Mali-T628 MP4 GPU for gaming and graphics. For the photography and videography options, this smartphone will have a 8 MP dual primary camera with autofocus and dual tone LED Flash which can capture videos upto 1080p @ 30 fps, and a 5 MP secondary camera for video calls and selfies. The juice will be provided by a Non-removable Li-Ion 3600 mAh battery. For the connectivity options, there will be LTE support for 32 GB version and 3G for 16 GB version, microUSB v2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and NFC (LTE model). The phone will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system with Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.0 over it, and we can’t say anything about the future updates. The 3G version of the phone will be available in Black and White color options, while the LTE version will be in Gold color.

The rear dual-camera, which has 1.98 micron pixels, is a concept somewhat similar to the HTC One M8. There is no word about the availability of this handset yet, but it will be priced CNY 1,999 (€258)  for the 3G version, and CNY 2,499 (€322) for the dual-SIM 4G LTE model.
