By Sharing Apps

Google Play Gift Cards are not available everywhere. So for those who think gift cards are not their cup of tea, then there’s an alternative way. You can gift someone an app by sharing it with them. To do so, you first need to buy the app you want to gift and then share the app with your friend by transferring it to his/her device using apps like My App Sharer. You can also use app like App Backup & Restore to make the apk and transfer it manually. However you can share a paid app all the time. You can share a paid app only if the developer has specified it.

Using Root Explorer

If you have root access on your device, then you can share apps by long pressing the app’s apk on /data /app and transferring it to your friend’s device via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct or any other way. However, like on the previous method, your friend may not always be able use the transferred app if it is a paid app. You can also share system app with this method but system apps from one device may not work on another device. To share a system app, go to /system /apps and long press the app you want to share. Tap on Send or Share and transfer it to your friend’s device.
