- Go to Setting>> Scroll down and select iCloud option
- Again scroll down and Tap on “Sign Out”
- A dialogue box will appear, Click on Delete from iPhone
- A couple of other boxes will appear confirming the process, Read the content and Tap on Delete option.
- Instantly, you will get a dialogue box asking you to Enter your Apple ID Password
- Enter your Password
Once you put your Apple ID Password, it will begin to sign you out from everything. This process is done to remove your account from the iPhone and turn off “Find My iPhone”, so that new user can insert his account in the phone. Now, let’s start the main process.
Method 1: Factory Reset (Using Setting Menu)
1st Step: Go to Setting>> Tap on “General”
2nd Step: Scroll down and select Reset option
3rd Step: Now, Click on Erase All Content and Settings
4th Step: If you have set Passcode, you’ll need to enter your Passcode
5th Step: Read the content on the screen and touch Erase iPhone
6th Step: Again you’ll see Erase iPhone option Click on it. It will start Resetting.
The Resetting process can take some minutes depending upon the Storage of your iPhone. You don’t have to worry, just wait and finally, you will see the welcome screen asking you to swipe to continue. Now it will work as a brand new iPhone 7 from software viewpoint.
Method 2: Factory Reset (Using iTunes)
1st Step: Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes. Now open the iTunes on your Mac/ (laptop)
2nd Step:Then connect your iPhone 7 or 7 Plus to Mac/ (laptop) using USB cable.
3rd Step: If a message asks for your device passcode or to Trust This Computer, Tap on Trust option.
4th Step: Click on Devices on the top right and choose the iPhone.
5th Step: Also make sure that the summary tab is selected.
6th Step: You can see “Restore iPhone” option in the box. Click on it.
7th Step: Again a dialogue box will appear confirming you to Click on it. It will start Restoring your phone to factory settings.
It will take several minutes. So be patience, also don’t disconnect your iPhone during the whole process.
