How to Fix screen waking up constantly in Samsung Galaxy S20

The Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra are Samsung’s latest line of powerful smartphones with cutting edge features, ergonomic and beautiful design (if you consider told slab of glass beautiful). The S20 may be the least powerful of the group but it is still powerful enough. And the S20 Ultra is a massive powerhouse that is taller, thicker, and heavier than even the Galaxy Note 10+. With 120 Hz display, the screen and animations feel so smooth and if you even try and go back to 60Hz, you will immediately come back to 120 Hz just because it won’t seem as smooth. They also adapted some of the already popular features like the Always-On display. The Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra feature a screen that will wake up whenever the phone is lifted, but some of the time it may wake up even when it isn’t supposed to. That can be fixed. Here’s how to fix screen waking up constantly in Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra.

For those who do not know, the Always On Display allows you to show time, date, battery info, and lots more on the screen when it is “turned off”. Additionally, you can add face widgets, pin texts and images, pin memos and, change AOD themes from the Theme Store.

Fix screen waking up constantly in Samsung Galaxy S20 If you haven’t turned on the Always On Display on your Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra, here’s how to do it. If you do now need to know this, skip to the fix below.

Step 1: Swipe down the Notification bar.

Step 2: Tap on the Settings icon.

Step 3: Tap on Lock screen and security.

Step 4: Select Always-on display and then enable it using the toggle.

If your Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra screen are annoyingly waking up when it’s not supposed to, you can enable a feature called Lift to wake to fix this problem. The steps are simple.

Step 1: Go to the Settings app.

Step 2: Scroll down till you find Advanced Features. Tap on it.

Step 3: Tap on Motion and gestures.

Step 4: Tap on the toggle next to Lift to wake up to enable it.

This should fix the problem and only wake the screen up when you physically lift it. This is useful even when the phone is in your pocket and backpack and you don’t want its screen to wake up.
