So, before we dive into the solution, let’s talk about what is it that is causing this error in the first place. The error seems to be caused by the core system host file (i.e /etc /host). The file is telling the system that the IP address of your device has been changed by Google Server causing the blockage while trying to access the apps. But who cares about the cause right? It’s the solution that is important, so let’s get into it.

Solution 1: Clear Cache and Data

Most of the time these kinds of errors can be eliminated by simply clearing the cache and data of the related app. In this case, the app on focus is Samsung Push Service.

Step 1: Go to Settings.

Step 2: Navigate to Apps / Application Manager. (This might differ according to the version of Android your device is running.)

Step 3: Select All apps tab or tap on Show System Apps from the 3-dot menu on the top right corner of the screen.

Step 4: Find Samsung Push Service and tap on it.

Step 5: Hit the Clear Cache and Clear Data buttons.

Unfortunately, doing this might not be enough to fix this issue. You will need to remove and re-add your Samsung Galaxy account.

Step 6: Go back to Settings.

Step 7: Scroll down and select Accounts.

Step 8: Select the Samsung Account.

Step 9: Tap on Remove Account.

Step 10: Add the account again.

Try downloading the app again and see if it works. If for some reason it doesn’t, don’t panic, we still have one more trick up our sleeve.

Solution 2: Google Play Service.

If Samsung Push Service isn’t the culprit here, the Google Play Service might be. Follow the steps below.

Step 1: Open Settings.

Step 2: Go to Apps / Application Manager.

Step 3: Select All apps tab or tap on Show System Apps from the 3-dot menu on the top right corner of the screen.

Step 4: Find Google Play Store and Google Play Service.

Step 5: Force stop them both and also clear cache and data.

Solution 3: Factory Reset

If nothing seems to be working, there nothing you can do but reset your device entirely.

Step 1: Head over to Settings.

Step 2: Scroll down and find Backup and Reset (it will be under System or Security on newer versions of Android). Tap on it.

Step 3: Perform a factory reset. Make sure you backup your important stuff first.
