It is no surprise if I tell you that most of the kids these days are glued to smartphones. They are either playing games on it or watching entertaining videos. But sometimes they may get a bit clever and open up an inappropriate site using private browsing mode. As a parent, it’s your job to monitor what they do online. It is safe to say that most of you use Google Chrome as your default web browser. Chrome allows you to browse site privately with its incognito mode. Using this mode you can visit any site without having to worry about it being appeared on browsing history and search history. Your kids may be aware of this mode and may access inappropriate content that you don’t want them to access. Fortunately, you can disable this mode and refrain form password protecting the app itself. So here’s how to disable incognito mode on Chrome.
Disable Incognito mode on Chrome
Do this is pretty simple and you don’t need root access. All you need is an app called Incognito available on the Google Play Store. This is a free app and it’ll allow you to disable the incognito mode in Chrome. Make sure you have the latest version of Chrome as this may not work on older versions. You’ll need to give Incognito notification access for it to work properly. This app comes with two modes – Automatically close tabs and Prevent tabs from opening. You can also set a PIN to prevent unauthorized access.
After you’re done setting up the app, whenever you try to access incognito browsing mode, a message will appear saying “Error opening Incognito tab”. We advise you to hide the Incognito app from the app drawer to prevent it from being uninstalled. There also a pain version of the app with additional feature like uninstall detection and prevention, block access to Youtube app, etc.
