How to Change the Font on Realme Devices

Realme phones are affordable and pretty powerful. Popular Realme Android phones like Realme XT, Realme 5 Pro and Realme 3 run on a variant of Android OS called the Color OS. It offers a lot of customization options except for one thing. It does not let you change the system font. Although some of you do not care about fonts, there are some who want to make their Android device feel like there’s and changing font is their way of doing so. No matter your preference, changing the font does change the overall aesthetic of the entire UI. Here’s how to change the font on Realme devices.

Change the Font on Realme Devices

Since there is no way you can change the system font on Realme devices, one might naturally think they need to root their device to do so. However, that is not the case here. There is a way that doesn’t require a rooted phone and it is extremely easy to do so. Follow the steps below:

Step 1: Go to the Google Play Store and search for zFont.

Step 2: Install the app and open it from your App Drawer.

Step 3: Once you’re in the app, you will be greeted with a permission prompt. Tap on Allow.

Step 4: Now, swipe to the left till you reach the Cool tab. There you can find the list of all available fonts.

Step 5: Find the font you like and tap on it. Then tap on Download.

Step 6: Once downloaded, tap on the Set button and then select Oppo & Realme. Now, select New Oppo.

Step 7: Press Ok to initiate font installation. Now, press Settings and enable Allow Apps From This Source by pressing the toggle next to it.

Step 8: No, go back and press the Install button. The font will be installed but you will not see any changes yet.

Apply Font on Realme Devices

Applying the downloaded font requires a small trick. Follow the steps below:

Step 1: Open Settings.

Step 2: Scroll down and go to Language & Region.

Step 3: Tap on Region and select Myanmar.

Step 4: Go back to Settings and tap on Display & Brightness.

Step 5: Enable Support Dai Characters by tapping on the toggle beside it. This will apply to the most recent font system-wide.

The System Dai Character option will be visible after you have installed a font. When you need to change the font, just disable and re-enable the option to apply the changes. You will also need to disable Automatically set date and time option and select your time zone manually to see the correct time on your clock.
