Android 5.0.2 Lollipop for Moto X 2014 starts showing up

The Moto X 2014 is obviously one of the first devices to get the Lollipop update, but not for the latest minor version of lollipop- 5.0.2. The device was left behind, as the Moto G 2014 has already got the same update, but now, the wait of the users is over, since the 5.0.2 Lollipop for Moto X 2014 has started seeding.

The update has started from the carrier US Cellular in the United States, making the device run in the latest available version of the Android. Since the Moto X 2014 for this carrier (along with most of the US carriers, such as Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint) was already running on 5.0 Lollipop which was provided as back as November last year, the latest update only brings some bug-fixes, but not much of the major features change.

The 5.0 Lollipop update brings the new Material Design look to the device, new real-time shadows, ripples and 3D elements, as well as bold colors and bright contrasts to the light background. The Moto X 2014 also received added support for connected screens like TVs, cars and wearables. The 5.0.2 Lollipop continues so, with no any feature updates, but with only the fixation of some issues, which as reported on the devices running on 5.0 Lollipop.

The latest update makes the Moto X 2014 more secure, and more convenient to use.

There are however, still many things left for the device, as Google has already shown 5.1 Lollipop in some Android One devices in Asian countries (at least on the pictures), and reports suggest that 5.2 is already set to arrive for some of the Nexus devices. There are many carriers left even in the US which yet have to release the 5.02 version for their Moto X 2014, and we will update as soon as we get any clue on this.
