The latest installment of Android OS brought us a lot of additional features, but it has taken away some as well. I’m talking about the revamped Power Menu. Previously the Power Menu came with the button to restart, power off, dial the emergency number, and take a screenshot. Now, if you’re not running a modified version of Android, you’ll not find ScreenShot button. This isn’t much of an issue as you can find the option to take screenshots from the Quick Tiles. However, if you want this button from the previous Power Menu, you can do that without much hassle. Here’s how to add Power Menu Screenshot button on Android 11.
Before we get started, it is important to know that the app we need for this guide to work is a paid app. It is an extremely useful app that you’ll know more about after you play around with it, so it is safe to say that the amount you’re paying is small considering the things you can do with the app.
Also, you need to become a tester. So, let’s get started.
First, you need to buy and install the app from the Google Play Store. After that’s done, you need to become a tester via this link.
Usually, creating a project or task requires a lot of effort and the app has a bit of a learning curve, but this isn’t the care in this tutorial. Now, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Go to the Tasker page.
Step 2: Click on the Import button. You’ll be redirected to another page.
Step 3: Log in with your Google ID. This ID should be the same one that is linked to your Android device.
Step 4: Now, tap on Yes in the Import Data dialog box.
Step 5: Select Base from Import to Project box.
Step 6: Tap on Yes to confirm it to run right away.
Step 7: Now, open up the Power Menu and tap the 3-dot menu icon located next to Home.
Step 8: Tap on Add Controls.
Step 9: Select the “See other apps” button located at the bottom left, then under Choose app to control page, tap on Tasker.
Step 10: Select the Screenshot button and Save.
Step 11: Go back to the Power Menu screen and tap on Home.
Step 12: Select Tasker and you’re done. You should now be at the Screenshot option you’ve just created.
