Xiaomi has unveiled its latest budget phones – Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus in an attempt to continue delivering solid phones on a tight budget. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus are the successors to last year’s immensely popular budget phones from Xiaomi – the Redmi 4 and the Redmi Note 4 respectively.
2017 was the year of “bezel-less design” for smartphones and unsuprisingly the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus both sport 18:9 displays with minimal bezels. Both devices have a 5MP front camera, Bluetooth v4.2, 3.5mm headphone jack, and rear fingerprint sensor. The specifications are as follows:

These phones will be available in blue, gold, rose gold and black.
The Redmi 5 costs 799 yuan (around $120) for the 2GB RAM/16GB ROM model, and 899 yuan (around $135) for the 3GB RAM/32GB ROM model. Likewise, the Redmi 5 Plus costs 999 yuan (around $150) for the 3GB RAM/32GB ROM model, and 1299 yuan (around $180) for the 4GB RAM/64GB ROM modal.
