Samsung Galaxy S8 is said to be the best smartphone of this year but a problem has been seen in the phone. After the failure of Galaxy Note 7 it was an important job for Samsung to bring the faith in the users by not having any problem with Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. But unfortunately Samsung Galaxy S8 users complain about red screen issue. Though Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will officially launch on 21st April, the people who had pre-ordered the phone have started receiving it from 18th April. Red tint display issue has been encounter by some of the S8 and Galaxy S8+ owners in Korea.
A Samsung spokesperson confirms about red screen issue and says “It is not a quality problem and it can be adjusted with the phone itself. If the color still appears to be reddish, customers can change it at the service center.” And also added customers could change the configuration from Settings > Display > Screen Mode > Color Balance. Many users complained that they couldn’t get rid of the problem as the screen was already optimized.
Samsung Galaxy S8 users complain about red screen issue
Some of the expert says, due to the new “deep red” OLED technology, the problem has been seen. The LCD screen uses three subpixels: red, green and blue. But the OLED panel used in S8 and S8+ has two subpixels: red-green and blue-green. Since there are two greens and to balance the color accuracy of the display they have used Deep Red technology.
Few weeks ago Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus was rewarded as best performing smartphone display with A+ grade by DisplayMate but it doesn’t seems to make some users happy.
Hopefully, this issue will be solved shortly because there are lots of users who are waiting to get Galaxy S8 on their pocket and more than one million people have pre-ordered the phone in the home county. So, the company need to fix the issue, if they want to rule the heart of the customer and even the market.
